"Sen-Rai"

we were born flashed like lightning that tore up the dark.

"SEN-RAI" is a new generation Japanese music unit that seriously reflects the essence of Japanese traditional entertainment through Tsugaru shamisen and Taiko drum. This group expresses new Japanese music that arises from the sensibility of the younger generation.

Played by a seven-member ensemble, "SEN-RAI" makes the best use of the characteristics of each Japanese instrument, and while not ignoring the traditional power of taiko, highlights the ensemble nature of the group.

"SEN-RAI" comprises four taiko drum players (Koki Miura, Eisuke Chisaka, Yosuke Ishida, Kyo Chiba, all members of "Tribe Beat -Yakara-"), and three award-winning shamisen players from the Shibata family (Masato, Yuri and Ai).

Production of "SEN-RAI" is due to Syu Chiba (concept direction) and Mitsuaki Sato (over all production).

"SEN-RAI" aims to produce music that affects people with the power of a bolt of lightning!
